The UK's First Underwater Music Festival
Expect Noah and the Whale, The Coral, Phish
and Reef to be on the playlist at Aquanox - UKs first ever
underwater music festival on Saturday 20 March 2010 at the National
Diving & Activity Centre, near Chepstow.
Created
to raise money for Bite-Back Shark & Marine Conservation and
Marie Curie Cancer Care, the underwater festival is set to become
a bi-annual event to coincide with the equinox in March and September.
Underwater cameraman and founder of Bottlefish, Stuart Keasley,
developed the liquid concert idea a year ago. Since then he's
worked hard to secure band equipment and an intricate waterproof
speaker system to submerge in the countrys deepest dive facility.
Now with the support of Hot Under the Collar Productions all the
elements are in place to simultaneously broadcast music above and
below the water to make this a perfect event for all the family.
Therell even be three category prizes for the best dancer,
the best dressed and the best instrument player.
 This
event promises to be a whole lot of fun, and tickles that wonderfully
eccentric British sense of humour, whilst also raising awareness
and much needed funds for two very worthy causes. Just watch out
for the silty bottom!
