Supervisor required

Cleaning Supervisor required.

£9.50 per hour

Responsible for the management of the cleaning team and the efficient day-to-day cleaning across the centre in line with the expected cleaning standards as set out in the cleaning guidance, job description policies and procedures.

You would need to be experienced in direct cleaning, managing and supervising staff through reward, performance and improvement plans, overseeing tasks to a high standard through to completion.

The Supervisor must be the attention to detail when undertaking final checks you must be able to see and correct what others don’t from start to completion. You are responsible for all the staff training as well as health & safety, together with the other cleaning supervisor.

The general days required would be Mon, Tue and Wed each week, but in busy periods, additional days weekends and bank holidays would be required and expected. It would also be expected that both cleaning supervisors cover each other during holidays, sickness and absences.

Supervisor required

Supervisor required for View Cafe Bar.

£9.50 per hour

Responsible for the day-to-day opening, closing, and smooth and effective running of the View Cafe Bar and kitchen.

You will work alongside the View Cafe Bar managers, to ensure all staff are trained and working within our food & hygiene standards, routine and daily checklists. The shifts are variable in line with business demand and would normally be on our opening days of Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays. There is also regular private hiring of the centre, involving mid-week shifts as well. The shifts can vary from early morning to late nights. The rotas are managed by the manager.

It is essential you have staff supervisory experience of more than 2 years, are an effective and clear communicator, possess strong leadership and the ability to multi-task and manage busy periods plus crisis.

Ideally, you would need your own transport and a food hygiene certificate.

Full training will be given.

Chef required

Chef required for View Cafe Bar.

Chef required to work a combination of day and evening shifts during the core business days of a Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.

You will support and lead service in the kitchen and ensure orders are cooked and presented to high standards, the correct portion control and price profit margins are effective.

You will be responsible for food stock orders, quality control waste management and cleaning systems of the kitchen and all food standards management. Managing health and safety and food standards records.

Skills needed

  • High standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Good leadership
  • Experience of professional cooking with meals to order
  • To work quickly calmly when under pressure
  • Ability to deal calmly with unexpected situations and crisis
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong communication skills
  • Ability to accept constructive criticism or customer complaints.
  • Stamina with ability to cope in a hot and busy kitchen

You will need to have a number of years experience as an evening chef with good references to support this. It would be an advantage to have a professional qualification such as NVQ 3 diploma in professional cookery and NVQ 3 in food safety.

The rate of pay will depend on skills qualifications and experience.

Outdoor Activity Instructors

Seasonal Outdoor Activity Instructors

Wire Zip Slide and Giant 3G Swing
Seasonal outdoor activity instructors required for the National Diving & Activity Centre to work on The Wire Zip Slide and Giant 3G Swing.

You will need to be a qualified ropes course instructor to ERCA standards.

The Wire Zip Slide and Giant 3G Swing are open all year but we are seasonal and peak season is very busy. You will be required to work every weekend, bank holiday, and all term times which include weekdays and weekends.

Atlantis Aqua Park
Seasonal water assault course instructors are required for the Atlantis Aqua Park. You will need to be a qualified water instructor with first aid.

The Atlantis Aqua Park runs from April until September and is open every weekend, bank holiday, and term times including weekdays and weekends.

Cleaning Staff Required

Seasonal Cleaning Staff

Seasonal Cleaners required for general centre cleaning, and house keeping duties for the onsite wigwam accommodation toilets, showers and laundry. Experience in cleaning is essential although in house training will be given. It would be an advantage to have a full driving licence and be physically fit and this can be a physically demanding role. The core days would be weekends and bank holidays 8-5pm although shifts would be required weekdays depending on bookings and demand.

Cleaning Staff Required

Seasonal General Assistants

Seasonal General Assistants required to work in a variety of areas at the National Diving and Activity centre. The season is usually March to Nov / Dec.

General Assistants for the National Diving & Activity Centre are required to assist with driving divers to and from the water, assisting in the shop and general centre duties. Core days would be Fri, Sat and Sun, bank holidays and school holidays. A full clean driving licence is essential.

General Assistants for the View Cafe Bar. You would be required to work behind the bar, and as such will need to be 18 yrs or over, to work on the food servery and in the kitchen and during events. Core days of work would be Thur - Sun and bank holidays. With some mid week shifts being a combination of day and evening shifts. Experience of working with food and beverage would be an advantage as would having a food hygiene, although training will be given.
