Extreme Ironing
---------------
Be a part of our fundraising attempt to break the world record for the most divers ironing underwater at the same time. Proceeds to the RNLI.

On the 10th January 2009 the National Diving & Activity Centre and Yorkshire Divers will be hosting a Guinness World Record Extreme Ironing Event. You are invited to take part in this event and raise money For the RNLI; a charity providing 24-hour lifesaving service around the UK and Republic of Ireland.

The sport that is 'extreme ironing' is an outdoor activity that combines the danger and excitement of an 'extreme' sport with the satisfaction of a well pressed shirt. It involves taking an iron and board to remote locations and ironing a few items of laundry. Our Guinness World Record attempt will be for the most number of divers underwater ironing at the same time.

Also on the day we will be having a raffle of some fantastic prizes which will
raise even more money for the RNLI.

NDAC Servicing

NDAC in-house Servicing and Testing Station open

Do you ever wonder why your servicing takes so long to get back from the dive shop – often because it is farmed out to another servicing centre to do the work and that’s why it takes ages for your kit to be returned . . . Well not any more!

The National Diving & Activity Centre has expanded its operation to offer you a far better service, with its own 'in house' servicing and testing station.

The NDAC Servicing Centre is staffed by our own SITA / IDEST and UKAS approved technicians with all technicians holding level three servicing certificates for an extensive range of Scuba equipment.

We have teamed up with Neptune Diving Ltd run by Terry Birtles who has over 25 years of experience in the technical services area. We have also invested in the latest state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment that is available in the UK.

Serviced equipment is normally available for return to the customer within 7 - 10 working days. However we are also offering an overnight fasttrack service. At a small extra cost we will be happy to service your SCUABA equipment overnight, so no more missed dives because your neck seal ripped, or your BDC inflate failed!

300 New Attractions at NDAC Quarry!
-----------------------------------
NDAC ‘s latest underwater attractions have arrived, all 300 of them with the help and support from Bibury Trout Farm in Gloucestershire..

Over 300 Rainbow Trout and Brown trout fish have been delivered to the NDAC, this is part of our programme to stock a vast array of fish into the water over the coming years.

These fish are not just any old fish they have been trained to be hand fed by humans, so why not get yourself some fish food next time you’re in the NDAC Dive Shop and feed the fish yourself.
