Night Dive
treat yourselft to a night out Saturday 22nd July 2006

To make the most of the summer sun we are holding our Summer Night Dive and BBQ at the NDAC site on Saturday 22nd July 2006.

To quench your thirst, on what we have booked to be a hot summer day, we have obtained a drinking licence and are able to sell alcohol throughout the day.

This will also be the first opportunity that you will be able to see our recently installed attractions on a night dive. These are being lowered into the water especially for this event. more>

As a benefit to our customers, (and so we know how many sausages to buy!) we have some fantastic discounts in place for advanced bookings. Tickets for the night dive are available with a 20% discount to our members (when booked in advance), or with a 10% discount to non members, again if you book in advance.

To apply for NDAC membership and to see the other benefits it offers; please visit the membership page on our website. more>

Maps & Plans Now Available.

We've had a number of comments recently about the current maps that are available of the NDAC site. So to help you out we have developed some new plans of our site which we hope are a little more 'diver friendly'

The first is a three-dimensional view generated using the latest GPS technology; it shows in great detail all the nooks and crannies of the of the quarry so you can get a good look at it without even having to get your feet wet!

The second depicts all the underwater attractions and key areas of the whole NDAC site.

All of the new maps and plans can be viewed online, downloaded for free, printed out and used to plan your next dive with the National Diving & Activity Centre. more>

NDAC & Sport Diver Voucher Offer
The National Diving & Activity Centre has teamed up with Sport Diver Magazine and five other UK inland dive sites to launch a unique discount diving scheme.

sportdivermag

Each month Sport Diver magazine will publish discount vouchers for the six major inland dive sites and a series of in-depth diving guides to the venues, detailing what's on offer below and above the water.

This month's issue will feature a six page spread on the National Diving & Activity Centre, complete with discount vouchers.

Your voucher will save you money on a week-day visit to the centre (Wednesday - Friday, 09:30 - 17:00) and will entitle you to a £2.00 discount of your entry to the site.

If you are also a centre member you can get in for £8 with your voucher and have a full days unlimited amount of dives. For non-members presenting a voucher, you will be able to get into the site for £12.00, which is still an excellent deal.

Charity Record Attempt at NDAC Quarry

This year marks the 60th Anniversary of Mencap.
To mark this and to raise money for a very worthwhile charity, Mark Harris is aiming to freedive to a depth of 60 metres on July 8th 2006, a record for freediving at the National Diving & Activity Centre.

Assisting Mark with this challenge will be the Angels Support Scuba Divers and the Saltfree Freediving Group.

Eyes bigger than your belly? NDAC satisfies both with recent changes . . .

Due to the extra numbers of divers that have been visiting the site over the past few months, we have purchased an extra 8 catering benches and re surfaced the catering area around Jacky's Diner.

The changes have opened up the entire area of the fence line over the quarry to give you some spectacular views of the site, so next time you are scoffing a bacon sarnie and mug of tea, take a moment to check out the views.

What's just landed in our quarry?

On Monday 26th June 2006 a team of divers from Avon & Somerset Police Underwater Training Unit were on site to lend a hand with the installation of our latest underwater attractions: A 15 seater Devonshire Aircraft and 3 new training platforms and swim throughs.

For the full story of the installation of our new attractions please visit the news section of the website.

We are in the process of getting some new attractions together over the next 6-8 months and we have already managed to get our hands on a 18 tonne, 65ft barge from Holland, a Wessex Helicopter and a Jet Stream Aircraft that will make our comprehensive list of attractions even bigger. For details of our current attractions please visit our underwater attractions page. more>
