In 1992 a container ship lost a consignment of 29,000 rubber ducks during
a storm. 15 years and 17,000 miles later, the ducks are heading towards
British beaches.
Recently, rubber ducks have been spotted around the National Diving
& Activity Centre in Chepstow. We’ve stamped the ducks with
the NDAC logo to help identify them but there are now more ducks than
we can cope with!
We need your help to give the ducks a good home and at the same time raise
funds for the Shark and Marine Conservation Group, Bite-Back,
the UK’s only organisation dedicated to the protection of sharks
by reducing consumer demand for its meat & fins.
As an incentive to encourage you to adopt our ducks, we hosted a
photographic competition with entrants sending in photos of their
duck in an exotic, wacky or exciting locations. See the winners here> |
