The Wire Zip Slide

The Wire Zip Slide ChepstowThe wire is one of the UK’s longest, tallest and fastest zip slides, running the 2,100ft length of the Quarry at Chepstow’s National Diving & Activity Centre.

Launch yourself from the 200ft high cliff edge and speed along the length of our 250ft deep flooded quarry, reaching speeds up to 40 miles per hour.

This exhilarating ride will take your breath away!

The wire zip slide is suitable for all ages.

Restrictions

• The zip slide is open to anyone over 18, or those under 18 with consent from a parent or guardian.

• The minimum age for this event is 14. Maximum weight limit is 120kg (18.8 stone). Lower Limit is: 20kg (3.15 stone).

• The entry fee is just £15 and we are looking for participants to aim to raise a suggested £80 in sponsorship.

You may chose which hour you would like to do your Zip Slide, from Midday until 5pm.

 

Cliff Top Abseil

The Abseil will run from the top of the quarry, some 200ft down the cliff face onto a floating pontoon which sits on top of a 250 ft deep lake at The National Diving & Activity Centre, Chepstow.

Restrictions

• The abseil is open to anyone over 18, or those under 18 with consent from a parent or guardian.

• The minimum age for this event is 14. Maximum weight limit is 120kg (18.8 stone). Lower Limit is 20kg (3.15 stone).

• The entry fee is just £10 and we are looking for participants to aim to raise a suggested £80 in sponsorship.

You may chose which hour you would like to do your Abseil, from 9am until 4pm.

Abseil fundraising event for the cancer charity Tenovus on Saturday 20th October 2012 at the
National Diving & Activity Centre, Chepstow.

The Abseil will run

Help support more women this Breast Cancer Awareness Month by taking part in the Tenovus 200ft cliff top abseil over a 250ft deep lake at The National Diving Centre, Chepstow on Saturday 20th October.
No experience is necessary. The abseil is open to anyone over 18, or those under 18 with consent from a parent or guardian.

The National Diving & Activity Centre is promoting a Sponsored
Abseil fundraising event for SARA on Sunday 25th September at the
National Diving & Activity Centre, Chepstow.

The Abseil will run
from the top of the quarry, some 200ft down on to a floating pontoon
below. In addition participants will have the opportunity to qualify for
a thrilling trip aboard the fast inshore rescue boat SARA 1.

SARA BoatThis event is being promoted by The National Diving & Activity Centre for the purpose of raising
funds for SARA. As well as experiencing an exciting abseil in a spectacular location participants
(collecting £120 or more in sponsorship) will be entered in a draw for a thrilling trip aboard one of
SARA’s high speed rescue boats with the individual collecting the highest amount of sponsorship
guaranteed a place. Entry and Sponsorship forms available below:

To take part

Download the Entry Form, Sponsorship form and Information Sheet below. Return your Entry Form back to SARA with a £60 deposit to secure your place. You can recover your deposit from your sponsorship money. All entries need to be received by 11 September 2011

Then try to raise as much additional sponsorship as you can, ideally a minimum total of £120.00 including your deposit.

SARA is the largest independent lifeboat service in the UK, second only to the RNLI, with 8 operational boats and approximately 150 personnel.

SARA’s Beachley station is situated under the Severn Bridge on the spur of land between the Rivers Severn and Wye. It is ideally located to cover the water between Sharpness to the north, down to Avonmouth and Newport in the south. The Rivers Avon, Usk and Wye are all part of the operational area.
