200 ft Cliff top abseil,
over a 250ft deep lake.

The National Diving & Activity Centre is promoting a Sponsored
Abseil fundraising event for SARA on Sunday 25th September at the
National Diving & Activity Centre, Chepstow.
The Abseil will run
from the top of the quarry, some 200ft down on to a floating pontoon
below. In addition participants will have the opportunity to qualify for
a thrilling trip aboard the fast inshore rescue boat SARA 1.
This event is being promoted by The National Diving & Activity Centre for the purpose of raising
funds for SARA. As well as experiencing an exciting abseil in a spectacular location participants
(collecting £120 or more in sponsorship) will be entered in a draw for a thrilling trip aboard one of
SARA’s high speed rescue boats with the individual collecting the highest amount of sponsorship
guaranteed a place. Entry and Sponsorship forms available below:
To take part
Download the Entry Form, Sponsorship form and Information Sheet below. Return your Entry Form back to SARA with a £60 deposit to secure your place. You can recover your deposit from your sponsorship money. All entries need to be received by 11 September 2011
Then try to raise as much additional sponsorship as you can, ideally a minimum total of £120.00 including your deposit.

SARA is the largest independent lifeboat service in the UK, second only to the RNLI, with 8 operational boats and approximately 150 personnel.
SARA’s Beachley station is situated under the Severn Bridge on the spur of land between the Rivers Severn and Wye. It is ideally located to cover the water between Sharpness to the north, down to Avonmouth and Newport in the south. The Rivers Avon, Usk and Wye are all part of the operational area.
