We offer PADI training from introductory experiences, and open water courses through to professional level courses, as well as specialty courses to improve your scuba.

 

You will be required to fill out a medical questionnaire before diving. We recommend that you look at the medical questionnaire beforehand and if you answer ‘yes’ to any of the questions let us know at the time of booking.

Scuba Diver

 

The PADI Scuba Diver program is a pre-entry level certification that is perfect for vacationers or people who only plan to dive a couple times a year.

As a subprogram of the PADI Open Water Diver program, the PADI Scuba Diver rating allows you to get certified quickly and easily by minimizing time constraints. With the PADI Scuba Diver certification you can dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, Instructor or higher professional on your next vacation or dive trip

Scuba Review

Are you a certified diver, but haven't been in the water lately? Are you looking to refresh your dive skills and knowledge? Are you a PADI Scuba Diver or referral student diver and want to earn your PADI Open Water Diver certification? If you answered yes to any of these questions then PADI Scuba Review is for you.


First, you will review the safety information you learned during your initial training. Then, you head to confined water to practice some of the fundamental scuba skills. There is also an optional supervised open water dive (at additional cost)

Open Water Scuba Diver

The most popular entry level for would be divers, allows divers to dive to 18 metres with a qualified ‘buddy’.

Throughout the course, you will learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques. You earn this rating by completing three main sections:

  1. Knowledge Development. Using the PADI Open water diver manual or multi media CD Rom. The manual guides you through the information required for you to Scuba Dive in comfort and safety. There are five easy to read chapters with quick quizzes to guide you through the learning information required. Your Instructor also overviews each chapter and reviews the quizzes etc to ensure you know how and when to use the information in actual diving circumstances. The manual is also supported by a live action video which also previews your confined water (pool) training and your four open water dives.
  2. Confined Water. There a minimum of pool sessions required during which you will learn the skills necessary to dive in safety under the supervision and direction of a professional PADI Scuba Instructor.
  3. Open Water Dives. To finally complete the PADI open water diver course there are four open water dives. These are normally conducted over two days, Saturday and Sunday, at The National Diving & Activity Centre. On these dives, you will demonstrate the procedures and skills learned during your pool dives.

Advanced Open Water Diver

Go Dive 4k

The Advanced in Diving program offers both the Adventure Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications.

If you complete your Deep Adventure Dive and Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive and three other Adventure Dives for a total of five, you can earn your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.


With this course, small amount of home study is required. Your Instructor before each dive, reviews the Adventure Dives that both of you have agreed.


Each dive in the Advanced diver course is the first dive of a ‘speciality diver’ dive and you can receive credit towards a speciality diver course.


Five Open Water Dives
These are normally conducted over two days, Saturday and Sunday, at The National Diving & Activity Centre.

Rescue Diver

Dive Master 4k

Rewarding and fun – that best describes the PADI Rescue Diver course. This course will expand your knowledge and experience level: Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence.


You can enrol in the Rescue Diver Course as a certified Open Water Diver and participate in the Rescue Diver knowledge development and rescue training sessions, in confined water only, while working on your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

You require successful completion of a sanctioned CPR program within the past 24 months. The Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First Aid) courses meet these requirements.


Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies.

Emergency First Response

Emergency First Response (EFR) is the fastest-growing international CPR, Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) and First Aid training organization. Dedicated to training the lay rescuer.

A land based first aid course which meets the ‘Appointed person ‘ at work criteria and is suitable for divers and non divers.

Emergency First Response - Care for Children

Emergency First Response Care for Children course trains the lay rescuer to follow the same priorities of care used by medical professionals.

The student masters the priorities and the procedures of patient care for infants and children in a non-stressful learning environment, which reduces the performance anxieties that interfere with learning and enhances confidence when rendering aid in a real medical emergency.

DAN Oxygen Provider

The course is designed to train and educate the general diving public in the techniques of using oxygen as first aid for a suspected dive injury. In addition, this course will introduce novice divers to the fundamentals of recognising diving injury signs and symptoms, response and management. This program also provides an excellent opportunity for experienced divers and instructors to continue their education.

Drift Diver

Drift Diving is effortless and relaxing because you simply glide with the current and feel the rush of flying underwater. But, with this type of diving come special procedures that you need to know so you can maximize your fun underwater.


During your PADI Drift Diver certification course, you'll learn about drift dive planning, organization, techniques and potential hazards, as well as special equipment and procedures like buoyancy. But it's not all theory because you'll go on two open water dives where you can put your new knowledge into action.

If you want to see the spectacular and prolific aquatic life often found in colder water climates you'll need to stay warm and that means a dry suit. But, you want to be trained in proper techniques and this is where PADI Dry Suit Diver Specialty course comes in.


During your PADI Dry Suit Diver Specialty course, you'll not only cover the background knowledge related to dry suit diving, you'll get into confined water to put that theory into practice. Then, once you've mastered confined water, it's time for two open water dives and applying that knowledge, including dive planning, organization, techniques, problems and buoyancy control.

Multi Level Diver

Since there's so much to see underwater you'll want to make the most of your stay. The PADI Multilevel Diver Specialty course tells you how by introducing you to the many varieties of multilevel diving.


You'll learn what multilevel diving is and why you want to plan for multilevel dives. You'll also get to see the various types of multilevel dive calculators (including the Recreational Dive Planner, Wheel version and dive computers), as well as learn about multilevel dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques, and potential problems.

Underwater Navigator

When you're underwater, knowing where you are and where you're going comes in handy, especially if you're looking for that beautiful reef that you've heard all about. The PADI Underwater Navigator Specialty course will help you become a pro at finding your way underwater.


During your PADI Underwater Navigator Specialty course, you'll learn underwater navigation dive procedures, techniques, planning, organization and potential problems. You'll also be introduced to natural navigation, underwater patterns, distance estimation and further your compass navigation skills. You'll put these into practice during your three open water dives.

Peak Performance Buoyancy

If you want to fine-tune your buoyancy and soar over reefs, extend bottom time by reducing air consumption and prolong the life of your dive equipment, the Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course is for you.
During your Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course, you'll use PADI's Basic Weighting Guidelines to determine the correct amount of weight. Then you'll practice the fundamentals of peak performance buoyancy during two open water dives, including the buoyancy check, fine-tuning buoyancy underwater, weight positioning for trim, streamlining and visualization.

Night Diver

When you go night diving you'll see a whole new world. Even your local dive site takes on a new personality at night, as many underwater creatures and plant life (different from those you see during the day) are active at night.


You'll learn night dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and potential problems. You'll also learn how to control your buoyancy, navigate and communicate at night. Since many of the plants and animals you'll see are different, you'll also get an introduction to nocturnal aquatic life.

Enriched Air

The purpose of the PADI Enriched Air Diver specialty course is to familiarise you with the procedures, safety protocols, hazards, risks, benefits and theory of no decompression diving with oxygen enriched air containing 22% to 40% oxygen with emphasis on EANx32 and EANx36.

Your training will emphasise the importance of proper procedures to ensure safety and will realistically balance the pros and cons of enriched air diving.

Search and Recovery Diver
