Rebreather
(Specific)
This course introduces nitrox divers in the technology of rebreather
diving and the skills appropriate for diving semi-closed and closed
circuit systems.
£ p.o.a. |
|

|
Cavern Diving
This course is for advanced divers in developing the entry level skills
and knowledge necessary for cavern and overhead environment diving within
the limits of light penetration, as well as showing the students the
specific hazards associated with cave diving
£ p.o.a. |
|

|
Introductory
Cave Diving
This course is the next logical follow on from cavern divers, using single
cylinders, in the basic principles of cave diving. The basis of this
course is aimed at perfecting the skills taught in the cavern diving
program as well as instruction in additional techniques and procedures
required for elementary cave dives. This introduction to cave diving is
not intended to train divers for all facets of cave diving.
£ p.o.a. |
|

|
| Cave Diving
This course enables the
diver to progress from introductory cave diver, on the techniques learned
through the earlier cavern and cave courses. Exposure to different
cave-diving scenarios is the foundation of this training with an emphasis
on more advanced cave dive planning and execution. The cave program is not
intended to prepare divers for all facets of cave diving, but to expose
students to basic surveying, as well as, more advanced cave dive planning
and execution.

Introduction to decompression diving with nitrox. The goal of the IANTD
Advanced Nitrox course is to introduce the experienced diver to slightly
longer in-water exposures with resultant decompression profiles. Using
nitrox as your bottom gas and up to 50% nitrox as a decompression gas you
will accelerate your decompression stops as well as increasing your
available bottom time. This course is ideal for those of you who wish you
could stay on that favourite dive just that little bit longer. The course
covers equipment considerations, oxygen tracking, and decompression dive
planning.
Includes:IANTD Advanced Nitrox Manual & certification.
Pre-requistites:IANTD Basic Nitrox Diver or equivalent, minimum 15
years of age.

IANTD
Technical Nitrox Diver
The IANTD Technical Nitrox Diver course is the pinnacle of
IANTD nitrox diving education. You will further expand on the IANTD
Advanced Nitrox course to plan dives safely to depths of 50-55 metres with
extended bottom times. You will learn to plan your nitrox breathing medium
to suit the depth of your dive and use up to 80% oxygen as a decompression
gas to greatly reduce your decompression times. The course is equipment
intensive and much time is devoted to equipment configurations and
redundancy planning. Oxygen is discussed in greater detail, as to is
carbon dioxide. A pool session to practice skills is included followed by
three dives up to a depth of 55 metres practising dive planning and gas
management, shut-downs and switches.
Includes: IANTD Technical Nitrox Manual & certification.
Pre-requisites: IANTD Advanced Nitrox Diver, minimum of 18 years of
age, 30 logged dives deeper than 30 metres.
£291.20

|
IANTD Normoxic
Trimix Diver
The IANTD Normoxic Trimix Diver course is the next stage in
your technical diving education after Technical Nitrox. You will further
expand on the IANTD Advanced Nitrox or Technical Nitrox course to plan
dives safely to depths between 39 - 60 metres with extended bottom times.
You will learn to plan your breathing medium, now containing helium to
suit the depth of your dive and use up to 80% oxygen as a decompression
gas to greatly reduce your decompression times. Trimix affords a means of
reducing narcosis on dives at greater depths. At this level of training
the oxygen content in your bottom mix will not be less than 21% thus the
term Normoxic. The course is equipment intensive and much time is devoted
to equipment configurations and redundancy planning. Oxygen is discussed
in greater detail, as to is carbon dioxide. A pool session to practice
skill is included followed by four dives up to a depth of 60 metres
practising dive planning and gas management, shut-downs and switches.
Includes: IANTD Normoxic Trimix Manual & certification.
Pre-requisites: IANTD Advanced Nitrox Diver or Technical Nitrox Diver,
minimum of 18 years of age. 150 logged dives with 50 deeper than 37 metres

IANTD Trimix Diver
The IANTD Trimix Diver Course is designed for those individuals already
involved in deep diving activities, but not intended to be used as an
enticement to divers who are content to remain in normal sport or basic
EANx diving limits. Trimix affords a safer means for deep-water
exploration for divers who must dive deep or perform tasks with a clear
head at intermediate depths. The program establishes the need to be
self-sufficient / reliant. The IANTD Trimix Diver Course qualifies the
diver to use any mix of trimix as a breathing medium to a maximum depth of
79 metres. The program consists of 240 minutes in water time with one
confined water session and four trimix dives to assess stamina, reaction
to stress, equipment familiarity and buoyancy skills. A most fulfilling
course at the extreme end of the recreational scuba market.
Includes: IANTD Trimix manual & certification.
Pre-requisites: IANTD Technical Nitrox Diver / Normoxic Trimix
Diver or equivalent. 200 logged dives with at least 25 between 39m – 51
metres depth. Minimum 18 years of age.

Diver
Propulsion Vehicle Course
The use of a Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) offers two main advantages
to divers. Firstly the diver can cover significantly more area on a dive
– a must to all you wreck divers, and secondly, using a DPV dramatically
reduces exertion and therefore air consumption. The DPV course can be
completed in one day with two dives.
Includes: Farallon Mk2 and Mk7 Diver Propulsion Vehicle use
& certification.
Pre-requisites: Open water diver or equivalent. Minimum of 12
years of age.
£134.00 |
| |
| Farallon UK in association with
the National Diving & Activity Centre are the sole appointed distributor for the full
range of Farallon DPVs within the UK. Farallon DPVs are the only
commercially available diver propulsion vehicles approved for US Navy use. |
