| The
SaltFree Summer Splash takes place on the 9th September 2006
at the National Diving and Activity Centre in Chepstow.
Freedivers
of all abilities are invited to come along and show the world
just just how deep they can dive on a single breath.
The SaltFree
Summer Splash will be an AIDA
Ranked Constant Weight Competition, National with Guests.
It is open to SaltFree Regulars, AIDA Course graduates and
anyone else who would like to come and show us what they can
do. We are awaiting confirmation from the BFA
that they will use the results towards UK Team Selection for
the World Cup in Egypt in December 2006.
We plan to hold all the dives on Saturday 9th September but
for now, you should make sure you are also free on Sunday
10th in case we need to extend the event over two days. A
full schedule will be available here after the closing date.
You will need to be at the NDAC at 9am on Saturday 9th for
the briefing. Location

Alongside
the competition, there will be plenty of chance to socialise
with other freedivers, exchange hints and techniques, buy
and sell second hand gear at our "bring and buy"
stall and of course, a party on the Saturday night - watch
the SaltFree
website for more on that.
How to Enter
Download
the entry form here
and get it off to Sam Kirby at SaltFree as soon as possible.
Entry fee is £40 for entries received before the end
of June, £50 for those received after the end of June.

We are happy to accept "shallows" as well as "depths"
on your entry form! The main thing is to have a go. Due to
our insurance, no-one may post a depth that is in excess of
their National Record. The maximum depth is 72m.
The entry
fee covers the costs of running the event and entry to the
NDAC on the day of your competition dive. It does not include
entry to the NDAC on any other day, which is £7.50 per
day for a freediver, payable on arrival. You need to be at
least 18 years old to compete.
Entries
are open now and close either when the competition is full
or on the 9th August, whichever comes first.
